Chiropractic payment processing: care plans, visit packages and recurring billing
Updated 10 September 2026 · 6 min read
Chiropractic clinics sell care over time, not single visits, so payment processing has to handle prepaid visit packages and monthly care plans as first-class objects. Enterprise Pay Gateway tracks remaining visits and plan renewals against each patient, running on your own Stripe account from $49 per month plus a 0.20%–0.75% platform fee.
The care plan is the product
Patients rarely buy one adjustment. They buy a course of care: twelve visits, twenty-four visits, or an ongoing monthly plan. If your payment system can only record single charges, the front desk is left tracking remaining visits manually, and errors go in the patient's favour every time.
Prepaid packages that draw down
A prepaid package should be sold once and then decremented at each visit, with the remaining count visible at check-in. That single behaviour removes most of the front-desk friction in a chiropractic clinic.
Recurring plans and failed cards
Monthly care plans need automatic renewal, automatic retries and a clear notification when a card fails, otherwise a lapsed card quietly becomes a lapsed patient.
Costs, kept separate
Stripe bills its own processing rate to you. Enterprise Pay Gateway bills a subscription from $49 per month plus a platform percentage on processed volume. Nothing is blended into a single opaque rate.
